It's so easy to hear what the secular world has to say about Christianity, or even religion in general; nice ideas, to each his own, personal and private. Even though Christianity is probably the most personal religion in history, it's not meant to be private in any way. The ideas aren't meant to be "nice," they're meant to be revolutionary!

I find myself not expressing my faith, my freedom, like I should because of the ideas of this world that have seeped into my brain. Shame on me!

It is very difficult to set someone else free when you struggle with your own freedom. The chains JESUS has broken to set me free I find myself putting them back on me, binding me when I know CHRIST has the power and desire to remove them. If you judge my faith level by the number of Bibles I own, the Christian books I have read, my closet of Christian T-shirts, the sermons I have listened to, the charity work I have done, my day of judgement resume looks pretty darn good, but...................I finally have to admit, in the forty years in which I have been a believer, I have yet to truly, in all honesty, given my life over to JESUS. On this sleepless night, the feeling of heartbreaking despair, I only know about JESUS, I know what the Bible says about HIM. I can only compare the way my heart feels now, with how Peter must have felt as JESUS cast HIS eyes upon him after Peter heard the rooster crow. Brothers and sisters in CHRIST, I pray you will not examine your Christian accomplishments, but dig so deep into your heart that it actually hurts to know that you know that you know where your relationship with your SAVIOR stands!!
